BK Häcken Set To Keep Star Players

Swedish Dammalsvenskan side, BK Häcken is set to keep the duo of Filippa Angeldal and Stina Blackstenius despite links to top European clubs.

According to Swedish media, Afonbladet, the Club might keep the players till the end of the year.
“There is nothing I want to comment on now. I am aware that there is interest but I am on a contact” Stina Blackstenius told Afonbladet.
BK Häcken coach, Mats Åke Gren confirmed to the same source that the club will keep both players until December.
He said: “I am pretty sure we will keep them until December”.
Emma Stina Blackstenius, 25, joined BK Häcken from fellow Swedish Damallsvenskan side, Linköpings in 2020.
She had two spells at Linkopings FC the first from 2013 to 2016 before returning to the club in 2019 from the French side, Montpelier.

The former Vadstena GIF striker has represented the Swedish women’s football team at U-17, U-19, U-20, and senior-level with two Olympics silver medals at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. She was part of the Swedish side that won bronze at France 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Stina Blackstenius who is currently the leading goal scorer in the Swedish Damallsvenskan scored five goals for Sweden at the just concluded Tokyo 2020 Olympics and returned to BK Häcken to score her 12th league goal of the season for her side in the course of its 1-3 win over Kristianstad on September 25.
Ingrid Filippa Angeldal, 24, on her part also joined BK Häcken in 2020 from Linköpings FC.
The former IK Sirius, AIK, and Hammarby midfielder was also part of the Swedish Women’s national side that won a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Second-placed BK Häcken will host Hammarby at the Valhalla IP, Göteborg on September 28 aiming to increase its 29 points haul.
The team is currently nine points behind league leaders, Rosengard with a game at hand.
Retaining Stina Blackstenius and Filippa Angeldal will be key for the team if they are to fight for one of three UEFA Women’s Champions League spots up for grabs.
