Bristol City Women have further strengthened their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season with the arrivals of Olivia Johnson (Brighton & Hove Albion), Jess Ziu (West Ham United), and Camila Sáez (West Ham United), all joining on season-long loan deals.

More Details

Olivia Johnson

Promising forward Olivia Johnson becomes Charlotte Healy’s eleventh summer signing. The 19-year-old made her Brighton debut in March 2023 and featured five times for the Seagulls last season.

She will now continue her development in the Championship as City aim for promotion to the WSL.

Upon joining, Johnson said: “It feels very good to be here and I’m excited to get to know the rest of the players.”

Head Coach Charlotte Healy added: “OJ is a really exciting young player who I’m really excited for the fans to see. She is a different type of forward to what we currently have here, but I think she’ll fit into our style of play fantastically. After spending time in Brighton’s First Team I’m excited to see her now get her opportunity in senior football in what will be an exciting WSL2 season.”

Jess Ziu

Republic of Ireland international Jess Ziu also arrives from West Ham United. The 22-year-old midfielder came through the youth system at Shelbourne FC, making over 70 appearances before moving to London in 2022.

Despite a year out with an ACL injury, she has made 23 appearances for the Hammers and adds further depth and creativity to City’s midfield.

Camila Sáez

Completing the triple loan signing is experienced Chilean defender Camila Sáez. The 30-year-old centre-back brings leadership and pedigree, having earned more than 100 international caps and represented her country at both the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2023 Pan American Games.

Speaking on her move, Sáez said: “I think the squad we have and the players we have signed are at a really high level and are able to achieve our goal of promotion. I can’t wait for it to start.”
