Cameroon and Haiti picked important wins in their bids to qualify for this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup at the Playoffs Tournament.

The Indomitable Lionesses defeated last World Cup debutants, Thailand 2-0 on Saturday to move a match close to the World Cup.

Gabrielle Onguene’s brace in the second half of the World Cup Playoff Tournament handed the Central African side a 2-0 win.

The CSKA Moscow player scored the first goal of the encounter in the 79th minute at the Waikato Stadium, Hamilton, New Zealand.

She doubled her side’s lead in the 82nd minute to seal the victory for Gabriel Zabo’s side.
