Girona FC have now reached an agreement with Celta de Vigo for Beltrán’s transfer with the midfielder signing a four-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at Montilivi until June 2030.
After arriving in Vigo eight seasons ago from Rayo Vallecano, Fran Beltrán steadily established himself as a cornerstone of the squad, eventually rising to become one of Celta de Vigo’s captains.
His consistency and dependability in midfield saw him rank as the club’s third-most capped player in the top flight, amassing 263 La Liga appearances and over 17,000 minutes, always representing the Celta badge with pride and commitment.
During his time at Balaídos, Beltrán distinguished himself through his tireless work rate, composure in possession and strong tactical awareness, operating effectively both as a defensive anchor and in more advanced midfield roles.
With this addition, Girona bolster their midfield with a player who combines youth with proven top-level experience, bringing balance, intensity and a deep understanding of the demands of elite competition.
