Champions League: Barcelona Qualify For Quarter Final After Victory Over Hoffenheim

Defending Champions of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, FC Barcelona Femeni have qualified for the quarter-final of the 2021/2022 edition of the tournament after a resounding 0-5 win against TSG Hoffenheim on Wednesday at the Dietmar-Hopp Stadion, Sinsheim.

Alexia Putellas Segura’s 41st-minute penalty separated both sides at halftime.

Mapi Leon set up Irene Paredes for Barcelona’s second goal in the 54th minute.

Three minutes later, Fridolina Rolfö assisted Aitana Bonmati to increase the Catalan side’s lead to three.

Mariona Caldentey and Ana-Maria Crnogorčevic complete the goal scoring for Barcelona in the 89th and 92nd minutes respectively.

FC Barcelona with the result qualified for the quarter-final of the 2021/2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League with two games to play after amassing a maximum of 12 points from four games in Group C.
