Chelsea And Celtic To Face Off In British Derby As UEFA Conclude Draw For Champions League Group Stage

Two British teams, Chelsea FC women from the English Women’s Super League (WSL) will face Scottish Champions, Celtic in Group B at the 2024/2025 UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL).

The two British clubs will also play Spanish vice-champions Real Madrid and Dutch league winners FC Twente, according to Friday’s group stage draw.

Holders, FC Barcelona have been drawn against another WSL team, Manchester City as well as St Polten from Austria and Sweden’s Hammarby.

Record eight time champions, Lyon are up against two time winners, Wolfsburg, Italian champions AS Roma, and Turkish league winners Galatasaray.

The only English team to have won the Champions League, Arsenal returned to the group stage after ouster in the qualifiers last season.

They will face FC Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Valerenga in Group C as the group stage of this season’s UWCL get underway on October 8.
