More Details

The 20-year-old, who joined the Portuguese team in January of last year from FC Midtjylland, has grown to be one of Europe’s most highly regarded young defenders. Diomande has made 38 competitive appearances and contributed three goals in his comparatively brief tenure with Ruben Amorim’s team.

Though he is under contract with Sporting until June 2027, European teams are already showing interest in the young player. Real Madrid, the Spanish powerhouse, are reportedly exploring a transfer, and Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle United are rumoured to be in the running for the player’s signature.

Chelsea and Arsenal scouts will be keeping an eye on Diomande while he is representing the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Newcastle is also anticipated to sent scouts to observe the Sporting defender, who participated in 77 minutes of Saturday’s 2-0 victory against Guinea-Bissau for his nation. Football.london claims that Chelsea and Diomande’s employers have already discussed the possibility of a transfer.

According to the report, the Premier League team contacted Sporting last month to inquire about the Ivorian’s availability. However, Sporting Lisbon have made it plain that they won’t consider selling the star this month until his £69 million release clause is activated.

Jadon Sancho has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the 2023–24 campaign.

Two and a half years have passed since the England international permanently switched to the Red Devils, who paid £73 million for his services in the summer of 2021.

“Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has rejoined former club Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season,” the Red Devils said in a statement. “The England international of 23 caps leaves with our best wishes for the remainder of this season.”
