He would move to PSG in 2012 and won multiple league titles before joining Frank Lampard’s Chelsea for free in 2020. It is at the London club that Silva seems to be having the best times of his career, he won the Champions League in his first season, won the Super Cup and Club World Cup thereafter and has quickly become fans favorite at the Bridge.

After another impressive showing against Lille in the UCL round sixteen first leg tie on Tuesday night, Silva in an interview stated that he is living his dream under Thomas Tuchel with Chelsea’s assistant under Lampard confessing there were doubts about him being able to meet up with the pace and demands of the Premier League.

“I feel like I live in a big dream here in Chelsea. I had not expected that it would be like that,” he said to Brazilian outlet TNT.

“The fans support me and constantly sing my name, ‘Oh Thiago Silva, oh Thiago Silva‘, every moment, every nice bit of play defensively. It’s magical and feels like a dream.

“I’m really proud to play for Chelsea and their fans.”

Silva won a career high 12 times possession in his 94th UCL appearance and Jody Morris told talkSPORT Breakfast how Silva quickly put those doubts to bed in no time.

“The reason he is doing it is because he is world-class and he is a top, top professional who does everything he can to make sure he’s in the right condition to play a game and to train.

“One of the concerns we had when we signed him was can he play week in, week out. You don’t really want to be taking out centre halves.

“We came back from games and he’d be on the phone talking to Frank and wanted to speak about things that had gone on in the game.

“He’s a student of the game and a future manager as well.”

“Little speeches he gives before the game, he’s a real winner.

“I thought he was a top player before he came to Chelsea and admired him from afar, but when you see him close up and the level he’s performing at you see he’s an amazing player.”

Serbian striker, Alessandar Mitrovic is setting the pace in the Championship as he scored his 32nd and 33rd goals against Peterborough on Wednesday evening in the chase for promotion to the Premier League.

The 27 year old attacker has broken the record set by Brentford’s Ivan Toney last season after just thirty rounds of matches with fourteen match weeks still left to play.

Mitrovic could well be setting a new record that’ll take ages to break as he doesn’t look like one that’ll slow down in his quest to further extend the record while helping his Fulham side make sure of qualification to the Premier League.

The former Newcastle marksman loves the atmosphere in the Championship, he scored a respectable 26 goals the last time in 2019/2020 season when he as well secured promotion for Fulham.

Fulham are top of the league standings with 67 points and hold a one point lead over second place Bournemouth who have two games in hand.

Mitrovic has scored six braces and have taken the match ball home on three different occasions this season.
