Chelsea ‘Make Decision’ On Dewsbury-Hall’s Future Amid Aston Villa Interest
Written By Albert Echatah
According to reports, Chelsea have decided whether or not to sell Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Aston Villa in January.
More Details
Under Enzo Maresca, who has chosen Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo, and Cole Palmer as his favourite central trio, the former Leicester City player has only played a bit-part role.

Despite making ten appearances for the Blues this season, including one goal in a 4-2 Conference League victory over Gent, Dewsbury-Hall has frequently been passed over for Premier League minutes.
The Englishman, who last played in the Premier League in September’s victory against West Ham United, has actually been completely left out of the team for five of Chelsea’s last six games.
Though the Englishman’s lack of top-flight experience has unavoidably prompted to rumours that he could be moved on almost immediately, Dewsbury-Hall still has a contract at Stamford Bridge through 2029.
According to reports, Aston Villa is willing to give Dewsbury-Hall a way out of West London in January after doing the same with left-back Ian Maatsen during the summer transfer window.

However, given that they are vying with Villa for a top-four finish, Football Insider asserts that the Blues intend to turn down any Lions proposals that come in for the midfield player.
Chelsea (third) and Aston Villa (ninth) are separated by six spots in the Premier League standings, but as the 2024–25 season nears its midway point, the two teams are only separated by one point.
Therefore, midway through the season, Maresca’s team does not want to add players from a direct rival for European football, and Dewsbury-Hall is reportedly expected to get more playing time over the relentless winter schedule.
