Following his recovery from a severe knee injury, Broja began the 2023–24 season as Nicolas Jackson’s backup with the intention of eventually contending for a starting position in football.

The academy graduate would only score two goals despite making eight starts and eleven substitute appearances across all competitions.

Chelsea allowed Broja to spend the second half of the season on loan at Fulham, as they wanted to strengthen their position with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability standards.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the teams keen to finalise a deal for Broja as soon as possible, according to the Evening Standard. The West Midlands team expressed interest in January, but at the time they were unwilling to cover Chelsea’s requested loan or transfer price.

According to reports, Monaco and Bologna are big fans of Broja and are hoping to lure him to France or Italy respectively. While Chelsea will undoubtedly benefit greatly from the interest, it is said that Broja is content to take his time and may decide to wait until after Euro 2024.

Meanwhile…

According to reports, Premier League clubs have approved the introduction of a development plan that will curb spending beginning with the 2025–2026 season.

The spending cap proposals were approved by 16 teams, and their goal is to keep the gap between the Premier League’s lower-half teams and its financial titans from growing.

Nevertheless, a report from BBC Sport claims that three teams vying for European football—Manchester United, Manchester City, and Aston Villa—are thought to have voted against the proposal.
