More Details

During the Blues’ match against Newcastle United on the weekend, the Brazil international made history by becoming the team’s oldest-ever outfield player aged 39 years and 64 days.

After the match, Silva apologized on social media for his part in Chelsea’s catastrophic 4-1 loss, calling it the Blues’ worst game of the season thus far. Pochettino said: “I’m devastated.”

The Evening Standard reports that next year, the center back’s future will be discussed by the two sides, even if Silva isn’t believed to be considering retiring anytime soon.

Given that two of his sons play for Chelsea at the young level, the 39-year-old would even be willing to stay with the club, albeit Fluminense, his former team, would also be open to a reunion next season.

Regardless of Silva’s future, the Blues are rumored to be looking to add young defensive reinforcements, and Trevoh Chalobah may be let go in January to make place for the incoming players.

Meanwhile…

Erik ten Hag is anxious to prevent Jadon Sancho from making a “empty gesture,” therefore Manchester United is apparently willing to accept a “significant loss” on him.

Sancho has a disruptive impact on the rest of United’s team, according to manager Ten Hag, who is determined to get rid of the winger.

This season, Sancho and Ten Hag had a nasty falling out, with the Dutchman publicly criticizing his player in the media for his lack of effort in practice. After spending £73 million on him in 2021, United is now willing to suffer a “significant loss” on the player in the January transfer window.
