More Details

Due to his outstanding performance in Serie A, the Nigerian international has been linked to the Blues for several transfer windows.

Osimhen scored 26 goals in just 32 games for Napoli last season, ending the team’s more than three-decade quest for another top-flight title. Though Napoli has struggled domestically this season, it is well acknowledged that the 25-year-old will leave Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at the end of the campaign.

Il Mattino claims that PSG and the striker have reached a personal terms agreement, putting them just one step away from finalising Osimhen’s transfer.

According to the source, PSG fulfilling his release clause, regardless of the agreed-upon amount, is the only thing impeding the completion of a trade in time for the summer.

Kylian Mbappe is expected to sign a free transfer to Real Madrid, which will significantly lower PSG’s wage expenditure and free up space for Osimhen to be transferred to Parc des Princes.

Meanwhile…

According to reports, Chelsea haven’t decided whether to keep or part ways with Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the campaign.

Graham Potter was permanently replaced at Stamford Bridge by Argentine manager Pochettino, who has performed better than the former.

The Blues are still in the running to qualify for a European competition thanks to their Premier League standing. They have already advanced to the final of the EFL Cup and the FA Cup semi-final.
