Now that Enzo Maresca has been named the team’s new head coach, the Blues recruitment staff will try to put together a roster that fits the Italian’s philosophy.

Even if there are several players at Stamford Bridge who currently suit the description, Chelsea has made the move to bolster their roster in advance of 2024–25 by adding Fulham center-back Tosin Adarabioyo.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Deutschland stated on X that Bayern had identified Levi Colwill as a possible signing.

Colwill has reportedly had fans at the Allianz Arena for a while, but he’s now been linked to Bayern if they can’t persuade Jonathan Tah to leave Bayer Leverkusen.

Plettenberg continues, “Bayern like the left-footedness of the England international, who Chelsea benefited from at left-back at times last season.”

Bayern are rumoured to have already held talks about a possible trade; however, if they are awaiting word from Tah or Leverkusen, the talks may take longer than expected.

According to reports, Premier League clubs have approved the introduction of a development plan that will curb spending beginning with the 2025–2026 season.

The spending cap proposals were approved by 16 teams, and their goal is to keep the gap between the Premier League’s lower-half teams and its financial titans from growing.

Nevertheless, a report from BBC Sport claims that three teams vying for European football—Manchester United, Manchester City, and Aston Villa—are thought to have voted against the proposal.
