The Blues are making good headway right now in their attempts to sign Leicester City head coach Enzo Maresca to a long-term deal.
Nonetheless, the recruitment team of the club is currently evaluating their goals for the variety of talent they have at their disposal.
As per BBC Sport, Chelsea have exercised its right to extend the 20-year-old’s contract by an additional year.
Hutchinson only appeared in 20 of the 44 Championship games for the Tractor Boys starting lineup, but he still managed to produce five assists and ten goals.
Hutchinson was in a situation where Chelsea was starting to show more interest in signing him as he approached the end of his contract.

According to reports, Premier League clubs have approved the introduction of a development plan that will curb spending beginning with the 2025–2026 season.
The spending cap proposals were approved by 16 teams, and their goal is to keep the gap between the Premier League’s lower-half teams and its financial titans from growing.
Nevertheless, a report from BBC Sport claims that three teams vying for European football—Manchester United, Manchester City, and Aston Villa—are thought to have voted against the proposal.
