In a session, Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele, and Andreas Christensen all participated after returning from their respective national teams.

All three players being healthy and ready would please Xavi, especially because Dembele missed time with France due to a calf injury. Barca will also require Christensen after Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde suffered injuries.

The club is now focused on their upcoming match against Real Mallorca this weekend, but owing to injuries, Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay will miss the contest.

In the coming days, Xavi will be hoping that no more of his players become unwell.

Tuesday’s Nations League match between Barca’s Spain team and Portugal is scheduled. Additionally, Raphinha is playing for Brazil against Tunisia, while Franck Kessie’s Ivory Coast play Guinea in a friendly.

The 23-year-old has opted to go under the knife and is now set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Here’s the club’s official statement:

“Ronald Araujo will undergo surgery on Wednesday for the adductor longus tendon avulsion he has in his right thigh. The operation will be carried out by Dr. Lasse Lempainen, under the supervision of the Club’s medical staff, in Turku, Finland.”
