With the start of the 2023/24 season getting closer and clubs ramp up their preparations as pre-season kicks off in the next few days, teams are also trying to get some deals done to satisfy the needs of their coach.

More Details

For Italian side, AC Milan, they’ve finally agreed a deal with Chelsea over the transfer of USA winger, Christian Pulisic and he will have his medical on today, completing the €22m transfer from Chelsea. His first message to Milan fans on Instagram after landing was: ‘Can’t wait to get started.’

He will sign a four-year contract with the Rossoneri and the deal is believed to be worth €20m plus another €2m in add-ons. He turns 25 in September and was down to the final year of his contract at Chelsea, having been purchased from Borussia Dortmund for €64m in January 2019.

He’s part of the overhauling currently going on at Chelsea as they look to trim their squad after missing out on European football with as many as 7 players sold already.

The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Trevor Chalobah and either one of Levi Colwill or Wesley Fofana could also leave the Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes. Pulisic will join Ruben Loftus-Cheek in making the move to the Milan and will also be greeted by the presence of Fikayo Tomori, also a former Chelsea player.

Meanwhile…

According to recent reports from Italy, officials from Italian club, Juventus will meet with several of their counterparts in the EPL to discuss the possible transfer of their players.

Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna (Juventus sporting directors) have met Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle for Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa, while further meeting with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United over Brazilian defender, Gleison Bremer is also expected.

The Bianconeri need to balance the books, so they will listen to offers for a number of their players. Chelsea and Tottenham are reportedly interested in Vlahovic. The Blues have offered Lukaku, who is more interested in rejoining Inter Milan instead. But Juventus are also interested in Cesare Casadei.

For Vlahovic is €60-70m plus add-ons should be enough. For Chiesa, who has struggled with injuries and being played out of position by Allegri, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Newcastle are said to be monitoring his situation.

The Italian winger is unwilling to move to Villa Park but would consider joining Sandro Tonali at Newcastle or going to Liverpool to play under Jurgen Klopp, but the Reds can’t afford his huge price tag right now unless they manage to sell off some players of their own.

According to the report, Tottenham and Manchester United have targeted Brazilian defender Bremer, but the Bianconeri would rather sell Chiesa and Vlahovic. They already have replacement for Vlahovic with the signing of Timothy Weah while Chiesa hasn’t really fitted in with the 3-5-2 formation, hence would be hardly missed.
