Manchester City will start their Premier League title defence against Aston Villa on the 6th of August 2021, the team which they last played to win the league in the just concluded season.

The Cityzens came from 2 goals down to beat Aston Villa on the final matchday of the season to win the 2021/22 Premier League title.
When the new season starts on the 6th of August, the same opponent will be at the Etihad to give Pep Guardiola’s side a run again for their money.
