Barcelona appears to be on track to sign a new goalkeeper to fill the void left by Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is expected to be out for the remainder of the season.
More Details
Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who rescinded his contract with Juventus expired is being considered as a potential short-term solution, with negotiations progressing positively between both parties.
The club is currently in discussions to secure Szczesny’s services, focusing on negotiating an agreement with Juventus, which included a penalty clause for his signing. Barcelona aims to reach a deal that minimizes that clause.

According to reports from Polish outlet Meczyki (via Sport) , Szczesny has tentatively agreed to terms with Barcelona although Keylor Navas is also been considered as an alternative, with a contract that would last only until next summer, offering him around €3 million, plus bonuses.
Neither party is ruling out the possibility of extending the contract if all involved are satisfied. However, a resolution is expected soon, whether that means finalizing the deal or abandoning talks this week.

Additionally, it has been noted that Szczesny is not only excited about the opportunity to play for Barcelona but also the prospect of sharing a locker room with his friend, Robert Lewandowski.
For second choice goalkeeper who is expected to take the reins after Stegen, Inaki Pena has been reportedly backed by gaffer Hansi Flick to continue in goal and even when a new goalkeeper arrives, they will arrive to earn the no 1 spot.
The 25 year old is also annoyed by the numerous names associated with the club, believing it shows a lack of respect for both himself and Ter Stegen.
