Things are about to get really interesting for Italian giants, Juventus, for probably the negative reasons as their main striker, Dusan Vlahovic, reportedly received death threat before becoming involved in a ‘row’ with supporters at the end of the club’s recent 2-2 draw with Venezia in Serie A, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Serbian forward, who was signed from Fiorentina became involved in a heated confrontation with a number of supporters in the stands of the Allianz Stadium on Saturday, despite scoring his Injury-time penalty to rescue a point for the Bianconeri. He then issued a statement on Instagram, imploring supporters to stick together and stand united in their support of the team.

“I understand the frustration for the latest results, and you have all the rights to express it,” the striker wrote. “I’ve always respected you by giving my all for the shirt, and I thank you for the support you support us daily. Now it’s important to stick together to support the team and start again, united.”

According to report, there were ‘insults and death threats’ from the Curva Sud at the end of the game, which is likely why Vlahovic reacted so strongly. According to updates from Calciomercato, the incident is now being investigated by police, using CCTV footage from the stadium to identify any potential perpetrators.

In a related development, Kenan Yildiz has claimed that it is a ‘pleasure’ and ‘honour’ to be recognised by a player like Paul Scholes, after the former Manchester United midfielder posted a comical Instagram story about the Juventus talent last week. Yildiz has been awarded with the Golden Boy Web award.

This was voted for by Tuttosport readers, winning with over 350,000 votes. Last Week, Scholes made headlines after a post on his Instagram story, in which he wrote: “Who the f*** is this Yildiz??” along with a series of clapping emojis, clearly impressed by the 19-year-old’s performance during the 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League.

“It’s only a pleasure to be appreciated by a champions like him,” Yildiz said when asked about Scholes’s recognition in an interview with Tuttosport. “It’s a great source of pride, a great feeling, especially coming after an important victory like the one against Manchester City.” The Türkiye international was not on the scoresheet.

But he impressed with his performance nonetheless as Juventus inflicted a 2-0 defeat upon Pep Guardiola’s side in the Champions League over the summer. The Bianconeri teenager has also said that he intends on spending the next five years in Turin, ‘on the pitch, giving everything for the shirt’.

Having signed a new contract over the summer, which also came with the additional bonus of the club’s iconic no.10 shirt, Yildiz is currently tied to the club until the summer of 2029. He will be hoping to help the team get out of their poor Serie A form, starting with away trip to Monza next weekend, but first, they have to navigate a Coppa Italia fixture against Cagliari tomorrow.
