The Romanian was officially announced nineteen days ago but is now on the verge of having his contract rescinded.
The decision is due to a change in ownership of the club which is now under the administration of an American company.
According to @aawsat_spt, the new ownership believes Contra is not the profile for the new phase of sporting project at the club.
Contra left Damac after two seasons to take up the Kholood job and has also been in charge of Al Ittihad on the past.
A replacement is already being lined up in the wings in English manager Des Buckingham.
