During Wednesday’s media availability, head coach Wilfried Nancy provided an encouraging report on the standout striker as the MLS Best XI recipient resumes training.
Due to a back ailment, Cucho has missed Columbus’ last three games.
“The idea is he’s going to be available. He wants to have a good game and we want that also,” Nancy said before his team travels to Estadio Hidalgo.
“We are all happy that he’s back and hopefully he’s going to be able to have a good performance.”
Cucho has four goals and one assist in nine league games this season. In five CCC games, he has scored two more goals, including one against Monterrey in the semifinals.
Columbus would advance to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup if they defeated Pachuca.
