Tigres, who won the 2020 Concacaf Champions League and advanced to the FIFA Club World Cup final that year, are now placed third overall in the Concacaf Club Rankings and are generally considered to be the best in the area.

The two clubs will square off in a cup tournament for the third time this season. The most recent match between Vancouver and Tigres was in the Round of 32 of the Leagues Cup this past summer. The match ended in an exciting 1-1 draw, but in a crazy shootout, the Mexican team emerged victorious at BC Place.

In the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions League 2016–17, Tigres prevailed over the other team.

The two-leg aggregate series is scheduled to begin on February 6 and end on February 29. In the upcoming days, Concacaf will release the entire Round One schedule, including kickoff timings.

The winner of this exciting matchup advances to play in the Round of 16, which is scheduled to take place between March 5 and March 14 against either Orlando City SC of the Major League Soccer or Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League.

Inter Miami CF’s head coach, Gerardo “Tata” Martino, has declared that the Club is once again interested in bringing in former teammate Luis Suárez during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Martino stated that the team is still interested in signing the 36-year-old Uruguayan during a press conference the day before Miami’s final MLS home game, which ended in a 2-2 draw with Charlotte FC.
