Confirmed: Atletico Madrid Seal Dávid Hancko’s Transfer

Dávid Hancko is set to be the latest Atletico Madrid new addition after the Metropolitan club announced that they have reached an agreement with Dutch club Feyenoord for the transfer of the defender who will undergo medicals before joining up with the rest of the team as pre-season preparations hit full gear.

Their fifth signing of the season, Atlético de Madrid have reached an agreement with Feyenoord for the transfer of Slovakian defender Dávid Hancko, with the deal subject to the successful completion of his medical and the signing of his contract.

Born in 1997 in Prievidza, Hancko began his professional career with MŠK Žilina in 2016 before making a move to Italian side Fiorentina two years later. He later joined Sparta Prague, where he continued his development, and in 2022, signed for Feyenoord.

His impressive performances in Rotterdam have now earned him a move to Atlético, where he is set to become the latest addition to the squad once all formalities are completed.
Dávid Hancko, who was previously on the verge of a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr earlier this summer, has now officially joined Atlético de Madrid. The club confirmed that a deal has been finalized with Feyenoord for the Slovakian defender.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Atlético paid €30 million plus add-ons for Hancko, pushing their total summer spending beyond the €170 million mark. As a result of this significant investment, the club has decided to pause their pursuit of Renato Veiga from Chelsea for the time being.
