More Details
The midfielder is currently on loan at Crystal Palace from parent club Chelsea and has shown that he’s ready for the big occasion with his impressive performances for the Eagles.
Patrick Vieira should be given credit for how he has extracted the very best out of Gallagher who is now a full England international.
Gallagher grew up in the Chelsea youth team but has been making waves since the beginning of this season with eight goals already in the Premier League and helping Palace reach the semi finals of the FA Cup.
Gallagher debuted for England against Switzerland on Friday and put up another eye catching display where he set up Luke Shaw for the Three Lions first goal of the game.

Tony Cascarino is in no doubt of the qualities possessed by the Epsom born midfielder and has suggested that a move to Liverpool will be perfect or the former President West Bromwich Albion loanee.
“Conor Gallagher is an outstanding attacking midfielder who always looks like he’s going to get a goal or make an assist,” Cascarino told Weekend Sports Breakfast.
“I like him because I don’t think there’s too many of his type around.
“Liverpool, for me, if they had a player like that as well adding him behind their front three, with his ability to get goals.
“Chelsea would never sell him to Liverpool, but they’d do really well with him.
“Conor Gallagher will get goals. Whether or not he will get his chance at Chelsea, I don’t know. No one at Chelsea can do what he does, but it depends if Thomas Tuchel wants to play that kind of player in his system. Ihope he does give him a chance.”
Gallagher was replaced in the 62nd minute by compatriot Mason Mount who happens to occupy the attacking midfield position at parent club Chelsea.
Meanwhile…
England boss Gareth Southgate wasn’t short of excitement either as he heaped praises on his new debutant.
Southgate selected a youthful side for the encounter against Switzerland where they fell behind to a Breel Embolo goal before Luke Shaw restored parity for Harry Kane to win it from the spot.
“I saw what I see for his club really,” Southgate said when speaking to talkSPORT. “I thought his pressing was excellent. He has tremendous energy and when he goes he doesn’t just get close to people, he wins the ball back and turns it over.
“He played one fabulous pass for Harry Kane.
“Some other bits of his in possession could have been tidier, but he should be really happy with his debut.”
Former England international and erstwhile U21 handler Stuart Pearce also had reserved praise for the 22 year old.
He told talkSPORT: “Gallagher was the pick [of the debutants]. The hour he had he impressed. Plenty of energy as you would expect and he took his club form onto the international stage.
“Behind him, [Marc] Guehi had a solid game and got better and better as the game went on.
“England improved in the second half and when they made the substitutes they went up to another level as well to get us over the line.”
