His current contract with the club is set to expire in 2026. However, due to his age, he was only able to sign a three-year deal but as Yamal turns 18 next summer, he is poised to sign a new six-year contract with a staggering €1 billion release clause. This agreement has reportedly already been reached verbally.

His injury setback comes at a crucial time for Barcelona, who are currently battling for the La Liga title. Yamal’s absence will undoubtedly be felt, as he has been a key contributor to the team’s success this season.

He’s expected to return before the stipulated date if all goes according to plan much to Hansi Flick’s relief.
