Olympic silver medalists Brazil have booked their place in the Copa América Femenina 2025 final, following a dominant 5-1 victory over Uruguay in Tuesday’s semi-final clash.

The emphatic win also secures Brazil’s qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, continuing their legacy as a powerhouse in South American women’s football.

Amanda Gutierres led the charge with a superb brace (11’, 65’), while Gio Queiroz (13’) and Marta (27’, penalty) added to the tally.

A powerful late strike from Dudinha (86’) capped off the five-star performance.



Uruguay’s only goal came via an unfortunate own goal by Isa Haas (50’).

Brazil’s experience and attacking flair were on full display as they overwhelmed Uruguay to reach yet another Copa América final.

With Los Angeles 2028 now in their sights, the Seleção Feminina aim to cap off a successful campaign with continental silverware.

They face Colombia in the repeat of the 2022 final with the championship match scheduled for later this week.

In 2022, Brazil pipped Colombia 1-0 to emerge as Copa America Femenina champions.
