The Copa del Rey knockout tournament continues its march towards the grand finale at La Cartuja. Following a goal-fest in the round of 16, only eight teams remain in contention from the initial 116 that embarked on this exhilarating competition. The draw for the Copa del Rey quarter-finals has now officially set the stage for the upcoming clashes.

The Copa del Rey quarter-finals will be contested over three days, from February 4th to 6th. The first match to emerge from the draw is a highly anticipated rematch of the 2019 final: Valencia CF will host FC Barcelona at Mestalla, with a coveted semi-final berth on the line.

The draw, conducted by Braulio Vázquez and Martín Mantovani, produced two exciting Madrid derbies. CD Leganés will face Real Madrid CF at Butarque, a poignant encounter given that it’s the pepinero team’s only previous quarter-final appearance in Copa del Rey history. Meanwhile, Atlético de Madrid will host Getafe CF at the Metropolitano, a rivalry that hasn’t been seen in this competition since 2013.

Rounding out the quarter-finals, the Reale Arena will once again be the stage for a thrilling clash. Real Sociedad will face CA Osasuna, the team that recently eliminated the reigning champions, in a bid to advance to the next round.
