With 32 goal contributions thus far (19 goals, 13 assists), he is now tied for third place in the Major League Soccer scoring category behind Portland Timbers’ Evander and FC Cincinnati’s Luciano Acosta (33 goals apiece).
Hernández may become the third player in Columbus Crew history to score at least 20 goals in a single season, surpassing Stern John’s record for the most goal contributions in a single season.
Hernández won Player of the Matchday for the second time in 2024; the previous time was on Matchday 22.

He’s the first Columbus player to achieve multiple Player of the Matchday honors in the same season.
The Crew will try to improve on their official single-season club record of 60 points (17W-6L-9D record) when they play the New England Revolution on Saturday night.
