It was a fascinating game of football between the Asian side and the European powerhouse.
The Blues proved what mettle they’re made of against the Citizens with both sides scoring for fun.
Inzaghi had little time to prepare for this tournament but hasn’t allowed that become a factor.
Following an impressive group stage where they held Real Madrid, the Asia Leaders have gone on to record the most shocking result of the tournament hitherto.
Simone Inzaghi’s men scored one better than Pep Guardiola’s side in a 4-3 encounter that was decided in extra time.
Bernardo Silva opened the scoring inside the first ten minutes of the game to give City a first half win.
Marcos Leonardo equalized immediately after the restart to restore parity in the end to end affair.
Malcom then scored before the 10th minute of the restart to put Al Hilal ahead for the first time in the game.
City responded almost immediately with Erling Haaland levelling for the Europeans three minutes later.
There were to be no more goals in regulation time as both sides fail to close the game in ninety minutes.

The extra time was another ding dong affair with three goals scored in thirty minutes of football.
Kalidou Koulibaly scored the first goal of extra time in the 94th minute to put his side ahead before Phil Foden levelled ten minutes later.
Marcos Leonardo then pulled up again in the 112th minute to score what became the winning goal and send Al Hilal to the quarter finals where they face Fluminese of Brazil.
