However, Liverpool have taken steps to make sure they don’t lose another top player for free after Trent Alexander-Arnold decided to go with Real Madrid for the upcoming campaign when his contract ends this summer, and negotiations with Salah have now advanced.
Salah is reportedly “very close” to agreeing to a new two-year contract at Anfield, which would extend his tenure with the team to ten years, according to French journalist Aouna for FootMercato.
With 32 goals and 22 assists in all competitions in just 43 games this season, Salah has been in outstanding form, and the Reds are poised to win their second Premier League title as a result.
According to the story, “Salah will indeed continue his journey on the banks of Mersey” because the parties are now so close to reaching an agreement.

Although the final terms are still being worked out, Liverpool are more confident that the former Roma star will remain with the team and that Salah will finally receive what he desired. However, a complete deal has not yet been achieved.
Bettitude sources has been informed that the SPL officials are now sceptical of securing the services of Salah despite their hefty offer was on the table. Earlier in the week, there had been reports that SPL hierarchy were still keen to lure Salah to Saudi Arabia.
Given that Virgil Van Dijk’s contract is set to expire this summer, Liverpool will undoubtedly focus on negotiating a deal for the Dutchman to remain with the Merseyside-based club beyond this season.
