News from Canal + on Thursday had suggested a breakdown in the process of a acquiring the club by the American billionaire on Thursday after the deadline given by the Lyon group was not meet.
There have been several postponements on the finalisation of the deal as the American tries to get a document from co-share holders at Crystal Palace and an approval from the English Premier League.

“Fake News,” he tweeted. “We have never wavered from our commitment to complete our investment in Lyon. Please rely only on our public statements, made through official channels and press releases.”
Lyon had also stated that Textor remained on track to complete his takeover.
They told RMC: “Based on the information provided by John Textor, OL Groupe believes that there is a sufficient probability that a deal will take place quickly.”
Textor’s purchase of Lyon – which was initiated in June – would see him add a fourth club to his portfolio, which already includes Belgian club RWD Molenbeek and Brazilian side Botafogo, as well as that stake in Palace.

Though sounding like a cliche these days, but it has been reported by L’equipe that the takeover by Ameriican Businessman will happen in a matter of days even though the time the OL Groupe (the current owners) set an ultimatum has not been meet.
The OL Groupe met on Friday midday in a board meeting to asses the progress of the Textor takeover of Lyon, with two conclusions having been draw from what has been leaked from the meeting.

The first is that it was simply a meeting that was part of OL Groupe’s “real time monitoring” of the takeover announced in the previous day’s press release.
