With just two signings so far in this summer transfer window for Juventus, the next few weeks leading up to the start of the 2025-26 season will definitely be eventful with a flurry activities expected and thanks to a number of factors, some players are expected to leave.

More Details

Of course, new ones are also expected as requested by Igor Tudor and with General Manager Damien Comolli in charge of transfers, he has now dropped some updates. The former Toulouse president has confirmed that Dusan Vlahovic is free to leave the club if an appropriate offer comes in.

It’s no secret that the club is looking for buyers for the Serbia international, who is now into the final year of his contract and risks walking away for free in less than 12 months’ time unless a buyer or an agreement over a new contract is found and this option seems unlikely.

Despite reports of a possible move to Milan earlier this summer, and links to some EPL clubs in previous transfer windows, Juve are still awaiting a formal offer for Vlahovic, who cost the Old Lady in excess of €80m in 2022 as they’ve already made an addition to their attack.

The arrival of free agent, Jonathan David who was their first summer signing and the Bianconeri are also working on a deal to bring Randal Kolo Muani back to the club after his loan spell in the second half of the 2024-25 season, which leaves little room for Vlahovic in their attack.

Comolli discussed the situation in an interview with Sky Sport Italia today “He can leave if a suitable offer comes in, but at the moment, it has not arrived,” Comolli said. He was then asked for updates in negotiations for Kolo Muani, adding: “Relations with PSG are excellent.”

“The boy is pushing for a return to Juve, but we still have to find an agreement.” He continued and then talked about two other players that are on the transfer list, namely Douglas Luiz and Timothy Weah, who have both recently come to blows with the club as they look to leave.

Douglas Luiz caused controversy last week when he decided to skip the first day of Juve’s pre-season training camp in what was reported as an unauthorised absence. The Brazilian had already been made available for transfer after a disappointing first season in Turin.

He has failed to justify the €50m that the club spent to sign him from Aston Villa last summer, and is now more certain to leave than ever before. “The player disrespected his teammates. Everyone has to respect the shirt they wear. He then apologised to everyone; players, coaches and to me,” he added.

Also in line to leave this summer is USA winger, Weah, whose agent recently aimed a dig at the club by suggesting that “the sporting department is managed by three people who have class, but two are looking for solutions and one is creating problems.”

The agent made the above claims in the midst of talks with Olympique de Marseille. Comolli has since confirmed that an ‘inadequate’ bid was placed and that the player has been urged to consider opportunities elsewhere. “He wants to go to Marseille, but in football, you can’t choose a team.”

“If the right offer doesn’t come, you remain on the sidelines. The offer has not yet arrived. Marseille’s proposal for Weah is not adequate,” Comolli said. “I spoke with the player, inviting him to consider other offers as well.” He further added.

According to Gazzetta, the Old Lady have raised their offer for Kolo Muani, putting €10m on the table for another one-season loan, adding easier targets for an obligation to buy, but PSG are still taking time as they hope for a bigger proposal from the Premier League.

According to the report, the total transfer package would be €45m, but PSG are still waiting for other proposals as the player has attracted interest from the Premier League, so the Ligue 1 giants are waiting for more bids from England, while the player has other ideas.

The French forward has prioritised a return to Juventus after spending the second part of the 2024-25 season on loan, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances. In a related development, according to Italian transfer expert, Matteo Moretto, Nottingham Forest are pushing to sign Douglas Luiz on loan with an option to buy.

According to the report, the English club are open to signing the ex-Aston Villa star on loan with an option to buy, which becomes an obligation to purchase under certain conditions. The figures behind the potential deal are still unclear, but Juventus want a permanent transfer.

The EPL club are more interested in an initial loan deal and Moretto adds that Forest already enquired about Douglas Luiz in the January transfer window as he has now resumed training with the rest of the team a few days ago after missing the first few days of pre-season.
