Dembélé’s success was fueled by a trophy-laden season where he helped PSG claim the Ligue 1 title, the Champions League, and the Coupe de France, alongside reaching the Club World Cup final. He was selected over fellow nominees Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal at the FIFA ceremony held in Doha, Qatar.
During his appearance on stage, Dembélé was revealed as the winner of the award by FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The votes counted for performances given between August 11, 2024, and August 2, 2025.
In other news, Luis Enrique has been crowned Men’s Coach of the Year following Paris Saint-Germain’s historic first UEFA Champions League triumph. Announced by Arsene Wenger after a public vote exceeding one million, Enrique topped a prestigious shortlist including Hansi Flick, Arne Slot, and Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard was absent from the ceremony, however, as he remains focused on PSG’s upcoming Intercontinental Cup Final against Flamengo.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has been named the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper for 2025. The 26-year-old Italian international joined Manchester City from PSG last summer in a £26 million deal, quickly establishing himself as Pep Guardiola’s primary choice between the posts ahead of James Trafford.
This recognition follows a historic final season in France where he secured a domestic treble and his first Champions League title. Donnarumma, a 2021 European champion, was officially honored on Tuesday in Doha, Qatar, having been brought in to fill the void left by long-serving keeper Ederson.
