DONE DEAL: Atalanta sign Romero

Atalanta have agreed a deal with Juventus to bring Argentine centre back, Cristian Romero to the club according to Fabrizio Romano of Sky Italia.

The 22-year old defender was left on loan at Genoa last summer after Juventus completed the deal to sign him from the Rossoblu. However, despite constant playing time and what seemed to be some form of proper development of the player by Genoa, it appears that Juventus no longer plan to count on him for the future.

Romano reports that an initial two-year loan deal with an option to buy when the loan period is complete.

Romero was a key player for Genoa last season as he helped the club to avoid relegation, scoring one goal and providing one assist in thirty Serie A appearances.
