Dzeko Set For Talks With Mourinho Amidst Inter Interest

Inter Milan could make an attempt for Roma’s Edin Dzeko according to the latest reports from Italy.
The Bosnian has been linked with a move to San Siro a couple of times but nothing materialized on both occasions as both sides were unable to reach an agreement.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports today that the Italian champions are still contemplating the option of signing the 35-year-old as the club looks to strengthen its attacking department for the new season.
Dzeko’s salary could be an obstacle however, the former Manchester City and Wolfsburg attacker reportedly earns around €7.5 million per season, a figure that could be too high for the Nerazzurri considering that they’re on a cost cutting spree this summer.
It also remains to be seen if Roma would be willing to let the striker leave the Italian capital. Dzeko fell out with Paulo Fonseca last season, which led to him being stripped of the captain arm band. Fonseca has since been relieved of his duties and new manager, Jose Mourinho is set to hold talks with the player – according to RomaPress – to outline his plans for the new season.
Dzeko had an underwhelming campaign last season as he contributed just seven goals and three assists in the twenty seven games that he played.
