Eddie Nketiah is expected to leave Arsenal this summer as he is eager to sign with Olympique Marseille.

More Details

Over the previous two seasons, Nketiah has been a consistent starter for Mikel Arteta; however, he has started just 10 Premier League games last season and has made most of his appearances off the bench.

Even while the 25-year-old has displayed moments of brilliance, his stats aren’t very impressive—he scored just five goals in the league the previous year and none after scoring a hat-trick against Sheffield United in October.

It has always appeared inevitable that Nketiah would leave the Emirates during this transfer window, with players like Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus ahead of him in the pecking order and Arsenal looking to add a new striker.

A few weeks ago, it was claimed that Marseille was considering making a move for the former England international, Now that Mason Greenwood’s transfer has been finalised.

This action has finally been taken; according to Foot Mercato, Nketiah has been sold for Marseille’s project, and the player and club are having a good time negotiating a deal.

Furthermore, the Ligue 1 team are currently being led by former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi—has made an initial offer to Arsenal; the amount of this offer remains unknown.

With three years remaining on his contract and a lot of interest from Premier League teams over the past year, it is unclear how much the Gunners will accept for their academy graduate.
