The Belgian had ankle surgery on March 29 to remove the plate that he had been wearing since December 2019. Hazard is eager to be with his teammates throughout the closing stretch of the LaLiga Santander season. It’s definitely good news for a locker room that holds him in high regard.

Hazard is already working with the group, but he is unlikely to play a significant role in the final few games of the season, as he needs to get in shape and be ready to play next season.

The player has no intention of leaving Real Madrid, though a departure would not be detrimental to the club. The summer will be a tricky phase for the 31-year-old.

The former Chelsea man will be looking to play a few minutes in the upcoming games, probably against Cadiz or Real Betis in LaLiga Santander.

Elsewhere in the squad, David Alaba, Gareth Bale, and Marcelo trained alone both outside on the grass and inside the facilities at Real Madrid City. Meanwhile, Dani Ceballos, Dani Carvajal, and Marco Asensio trained indoors exclusively.

German defender Antonio Rudiger has passed his medical and signed a four-year contract with Real Madrid, according to a report from Sport1’s Patrick Berger later confirmed on the Spanish press.

Rudiger will earn €7 million/year and will have a €450 million release clause in Real Madrid, per those same reports.

The deal is not official yet and Real Madrid will not announce it until the very end of the season, given that both parts have titles to play for. Rudiger will face Manchester City in the FA Cup Final while Real Madrid will play for the Champions League title on May 28th.
