EFL Release Championship Fixtures for 2021/2022 Season

The fixtures for the new English Championship season were released earlier today with mouth-watering fixtures on the opening weekend which starts on the 7th of August.

Teams will immediately begin their quest to secure promotion to the elite division while some will be content with keeping their place in the league.

Wayne Rooney’s Derby County coming at the back of a disappointing 20/21 season host Huddersfield Town on the opening weekend while a London derby involving QPR and Millwall promises to make a thrilling opening fixture.

Bristol City host newly promoted Blackpool while Middlesbrough travel to returning Fulham FC.

Sheffield United who are with a new coach after their relegation from the Premier League play host to Birmingham city while fellow relegated West Brom play away at Bournemouth.

Preston North End play at home to Hull City while Coventry City hosts Nottingham Forest at the Midlands.

Swansea who missed out on promotion at the last hurdle travel to Blackburn Rovers with Luton playing host to Peterborough united.

Stoke City welcome Reading while Barnsley travel to Wales to face Cardiff City.

It promises to be an intriguing run to the final day and we wait to see what teams get promoted to the Premier League

Here’s the first round of fixtures for the 2021/22 Championship season, which kicks off on the weekend of August 7:
