Elias Al-Sakhiri’s Historic Goal Propels Tunisia To Victory Over Uganda
Tunisia senior men’s national team moved to the top of Group C as far as 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is concerned with a 3-1 win against Uganda at the Stade Olympique de Rabat on Tuesday.

A brace from Elias Al-Sakhiri and one goal courtesy of Ellyes Skhiri ensured the North African had a flying start to their AFCON 2025 campaign.
Al-Sakhiri opened scoring for the Carthage Eagles in the 10th minute before Achouri doubled the lead with five minutes before the end of the first half.
Achouri completed his brace with his side’s third goal in the 64th minute.
Elias Al-Sakhiri's goal against Uganda is Tunisia's 100th goal in the Africa Cup of Nations.
He becomes the sixth national team to achieve this in the history of the championship.

Denis Omedi pulled a goal back for the East Africans in the additional minutes of the second half but it wasn't enough.
The North Africans topped Group C with three points and better goals advantage ahead of Nigeria which edged Tanzania 2-1.
Nigeria and Tunisia will face off in the second group encounter at the Complexe de Fes in what could determine the group leaders on December 27.
