“In the table now we have some advantage on them but they are contender more than us to be in the top-five, top-four, top-three,” he said.
“Now we are top three, with Arsenal and Manchester City who are performing fantastic, like we are. But they are contenders and we are not.

After Saturday’s game, Villa travel to face league leaders Arsenal on Tuesday. Although only three points separate them from the top, Emery believes it is premature to view his side as title contenders.
He said: “Until the day 34 I am not going to speak about our objective and target at the end of the season in the table. This is a run for each match.”
