The German giants are looking for a new manager to take over for Thomas Tuchel, who has announced that he would step down at the end of the current campaign.

Before the Spaniard announced his plan to remain with Bayer Leverkusen for at least one more season, it was claimed that Bayern had identified Xabi Alonso as a possible target.

Although Julian Nagelsmann, the manager of Germany, has been linked to a return to the Allianz Arena, he recently inked a new contract committing to the national team through 2026.

Zinedine Zidane is seen as a possible possibility as well, but at the moment, the Frenchman is expressing greater interest in managing Manchester United. As Bayern looks at other choices, Emery has surfaced as a candidate to take Tuchel’s place before the 2024–25 season, according to Bild.

According to the report, Bayern are also reportedly interested in Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi. Even if a move to the Allianz Arena has been suggested, Emery has stated he is totally dedicated to his role as Aston Villa’s manager.

“I am focused here, 100%,” Emery told reporters when asked about the speculation following Sunday’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth.

In the FA Cup semifinal match on Saturday, Manchester City defeated Chelsea by a slim margin of 1-0, setting a new club record.

Following their chances of capturing a second consecutive treble were dashed by Wednesday’s Champions League quarterfinal loss to Real Madrid via penalty shootout, Pep Guardiola’s team returned to domestic competition.

Before Bernardo Silva scored in the 84th minute, the FA Cup match appeared to be headed to extra time. Silva’s season-long 11th goal in all competition was sufficient to guarantee a final position and assist Man City in setting a new club record.
