New United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) head coach Emma Hayes traveled to meet the team for the first time this week, introducing herself at camp in Fort Lauderdale.

Still managing Chelsea until May 2024, Hayes will not stay for the USWNT’s match against China People’s Republic (PR) on Saturday.

“She’s amazing so far,” forward Trinity Rodman told the media Wednesday.

“I’d never met her before, so initial impressions have been really good.”

“First impressions of Emma are very welcoming, exciting, and eager to really be a part of this team and get to work,” defender Emily Fox echoed.

“She wants us to be the players that we came into these camps as. She doesn’t want us molded into something else. She doesn’t want to stray away from who we are,” Rodman said.

Kerr scored a hat trick in Chelsea's 4-1 Champions League victory over Paris FC on November 23 and played in the team's November 26 win over Leicester City.

Sinclair will be retiring from the Canada national team at the end of 2023.
