Endrick Felipe

Real Madrid are keen on the continued development of Endrick Felipe and as such, the Spanish giant have agreed a loan deal with Lyon where the Brazilian will be guaranteed regular first team action until the end of the season.

More Details

The teenage forward arrived from Palmeiras two summers ago, shortly after turning 18 in a deal initially valued at €40 million and potentially rising to €60 million based on performance-related variables. Highly rated upon his arrival, he was seen as a long-term investment for the future rather than an immediate starter.

According to El Chiringuito TV, the proposed loan move follows a clear timeline: December 26 for his first training session, January 1 for his presentation and contract signing, and January 3 as a possible date for his debut against Monaco. The plan reflects how advanced negotiations have become.

The forward’s hopes were revived by the arrival of Xabi Alonso whom he believed could offer him a fresh start. Despite receiving several loan offers during the summer, he opted to stay and compete for his place in Madrid. That decision has since backfired, with his continued lack of involvement under Alonso further fueling speculation about a temporary exit.

Opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti, however, were limited. While he maintained an impressive scoring rate, averaging close to a goal per game in the brief chances he received, this was not enough to earn him a consistent place in the matchday squad. As a result, regular minutes at the Santiago Bernabéu proved difficult to come by.

Despite his minimal playing time this season, Real Madrid remain fully committed to his long-term development. Club officials believe a loan move to Lyon would be ideal, offering him regular minutes and the competitive environment needed to help him rediscover the upward trajectory that has stalled since his 2024 move from Palmeiras.

From the player’s perspective, the loan is seen as a strategic step. With ambitions of forcing his way into Brazil’s World Cup squad, consistent game time is a priority, making the move an attractive option. Greater clarity on the final details of the deal is expected in the coming days, before the end of the year.
