The Lionesses got their first victory over the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) in five years on Friday, winning 2-1 in front of over 70,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
England struck first in the 10th minute when Lauren Hemp collected a cross to avoid Alana Cook and beat Alyssa Naeher.
The United States (U.S) kept pushing, getting an equalizer in the 28th thanks to a forced turnover by Lindsey Horan and a confident finish by Sophia Smith.
England pulled ahead again in the 33rd after Hailie Mace fouled Lucy Bronze in the penalty area and Georgia Stanway confidently sunk the kick from the spot.

The USWNT thought they had equalized again after Trinity Rodman finished off a beautiful passing sequence, but Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruled that Smith was offside in the build-up.
Mace had to come on as a first-half substitute after Emily Fox suffered a head injury.
On Saturday, U.S. Soccer announced that Fox has entered concussion protocols and will be replaced in camp by North Carolina Courage defender Carson Pickett.
England dominated possession in the second half and held on for the win.
The USWNT kept player evaluation going, with Naomi Girma passing with flying colors and Trinity Rodman proving her potential.
