Eriksen Could Return To Ajax

Christian Eriksen could be subject of a transfer move for Ajax this summer according to reports from journalist, Omar Hawwash.
The Danish midfielder is currently on a extended vacation in Denmark as he looks to completely recover from the cardiac arrest that he suffered in Denmark’s opening game at Euro 2020.
Eriksen was at Inter’s training ground last week, where he met with Inter executives, his team mates as well as the team’s medical doctors. After the visit, it was reported by several outlets in Italy that the former Tottenham star would need up to five months for full recovery.

However, even when he recovers, he will still need to be passed fit enough to play in the Serie A, as the laws in Italy completely rule out any possibility for footballers to play with any device installed in them, and this applies particularly to Eriksen who had a defribillator implanted in him after the incident in Copenhagen.
Hawwash reports exclusively that Eriksen’s medical condition has been checked by the Ajax medical staff and the club has already received the go-ahead to kick start negotiations with the Italian club.
The Dutch league has different rules, footballers are allowed to play with defribillators implanted. In fact, Ajax currently have a player with a somewhat similar condition, Daley Blind, who has been playing actively for the club since he was implanted with an ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) several years ago.
Eriksen arrived at Inter from Tottenham in 2020 for a fee believed to be in the region of €27 million. Inter will reportedly try to recoup what was spent on him if they are to let him leave the club. He made a name for himself at Ajax between 2010 and 2013 before moving to England to join Tottenham.
