Both Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion were interested in the 27-year-old during the January transfer window, but negotiations fell through.
The international player from Ukraine has, in fact, since agreed to a new contract with Shakhtar that will keep him with the team through 2027.
The player’s new contract hasn’t stopped a number of teams from being interested in signing him, though, and he may still transfer to the Premier League in January.
Along with Burnley, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, and West Ham United, Everton is reportedly interested in the versatile defender who can play both left-back and center-back.
The Premier League five have strong interest’ in the defender going into the winter transfer season, according to TEAMtalk.

Ivan Perisic of Tottenham has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury less than a week before Sunday’s North London Derby against Arsenal.
The versatile Croatian has appeared as a substitute in each of Spurs’ five Premier League games so far this season and contributed an assist in the team’s thrilling 2-1 victory against Sheffield United the previous time out.
‘We can confirm that Ivan Perisic has suffered a complex Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in his right knee,’ Tottenham posted on Twitter.
