Excited Spinazzola Reveals Return Date

Italy right-back, Leonardo Spinazzola in delight, has revealed his comeback date to be December while recalling his wonderful memories with the national team.

Spinazzola is about to leave his crutches after the Achilles tendon operation two months ago and with optimism the Italian plans to return to the field by the end of the year. 

The unfortunate incident happened during the game against Belgium on July 2 at the just concluded Euro 2020 with concerns over his career. But after the operation, the full-back can breathe again.

And now in his interview with the sport magazine sportweek, the former Siena and Juventus left-back confirmed that he will resume training in November and will be available for competitive games from December.

“Mourinho and Mancini know I’ll return to training in November and I’ll be back on the pitch in December,” Spinazzola said.

The Azzurri went ahead to win the Euro 2020 even though Spinazzola’s impact was greatly missed. And the 28-year-old in his interview also revisited his experience at the Euros and the recipe behind their success.

“A united dressing room is not enough to win. Everybody must always give their best, we can disagree sometimes, but if we go out for dinner as we do, then it’s even more beautiful,” the defender revealed on Sportweek via Footballitalia.

“It’s amazing to be part of his group, I’ve never seen anything similar, that’s one of the reasons why we dragged the Italians.”

Another worry for Jose Mourinho as new Giallorossi full-back, Matias Vina left the pitch in pain while on international duty with the Celeste in their 1-1 draw away to Peru.

According to italain media La Gazzetta dello Sport, Vina while playing for Uruguay against Peru was substituted in the 71st minute due to a muscle discomfort in his right thigh.

An injury is reported to be feared and if confirmed, the player would immediately return to Italy. However, the Uruguayan full-back should not return to Italy but carry out the exams in Uruguay within two days. Then it will be decided, net of the only area in which the team is numerically little covered,

The left-back joined Roma in August and has featured in all of the four competitive games AS Roma has played so far with an assist to his name.
