F1: Aston Martin Set For New Car Launch; Reveals Date For The New Season

Seventh placed team in 2021 F1 season, Aston Martin has announced the launch date for their new car, AMR22 on Friday.
It is the first car to do so marking a first date in the diary for the F1 launch season in 2022, when all 10 teams will unveil significantly revised designs under the overhauled technical regulations for the upcoming campaign.

The car company reveals that the date for the launch will be on the 10th of February online this year about two months to the beginning of the new season.
The company’s statement says through a mail “Our all-new challenger, the AMR22, launches on Thursday 10th February, live from Aston Martin Lagonda headquarters in Gaydon, UK.”

With the new season around the corner and the return of Martin Whitmarsh as group the Chief Executive Officer last September, there is a shake up in the team’s management with the announcement of squad principal Otmar Szafnauer’s departure with immediate effect last week.
Szafnauer who has been with the team for twelve years is rumoured to be replaced by Renault-owned Alpine Formula One team Executive director Marcin Budkowski who left the team on Thursday.

The F1 team however still have the complement of Four-time F1 champion Sebastian Vettel who will partner Lance Stroll for a second season running.
Aston Martin looked poised for a better season performance ahead of the new campaign.
“The focus of the team is currently on preparing the most competitive car possible for the start of the 2022 season.” A statement from the team read after the news of Otmar Szafnauer’s departure.
