F1 Head Mohammed Ben Sulayem has made known that a soon-to-be adopted technical regulations have been sent to the World Motorsports Council.
Porpoising has been a recurring word since the beginning of the season as teams have struggled to adjust to bouncing and discomfort while racing.

With the first half of the season concluded, the president of the sport revealed a meeting with the drivers and the teams have been held and an amendment to the technical regulations are imminent.
“Having discussed the porpoising issue with all 20 F1 drivers and 10 team principals, I’m happy to confirm that we will be submitting updated 2023 Technical Regulations to the WMSC this week to address this, in addition to the measures already taken for the remainder of this season” Sulayem said through his Twitter account.

The FIA’s technical directive aimed at reducing porpoising will start getting enforced at the Belgian Grand Prix.
The FIA’s ‘anti-porpoising’ directive will start being enforced after the F1 summer break, at the Belgian Grand Prix, and it will also prevent teams from using ‘flexi-floors’.

“Over the last 18 months, FIA officials have worked hard with all stakeholders to create exciting new F1 PU regulations that the WMSC are now considering. I’m proud of their efforts which allows for new entrants and even more competition.”
