Al Ittihad midfielder Fabinho had an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca where his future was discussed in details.

The Brazilian player talked about his time in Saudi Arabia with the reigning champions and his aspirations for the future.

“I’m very happy at Al Ittihad but I need to evaluate everything.” He started

“‎I would like to return to Europe, now or in the future. I want to try new things.

‎”The truth is that I have a desire to return to Spain. But I’m calm and I’ll see what’s best for my family and me.”

The 32 year old joked about not being a bad professional as this is the first time he’ll be playing into the last year of his contract at any club.

“This is the first time I’ve completed a contract until its end. But that doesn’t mean I’m a bad professional, does it? (laughs). A club always came and bought my services”

“I’m not in a rush to resolve my situation, but I know that in the coming weeks, I’ll have to discuss options with my agent.”

Speaking about his experience with the club: “This is my third season with Al-Ittihad, and the two previous seasons were different from each other.

‎”Last season, we won the league and cup titles, but this season we started with great difficulty due to the coaching change.”

“In my first season, there weren’t many strong teams, but now the Saudi League has developed a lot.”

Fabinho won the double with The Tigers last season and is in the final six months of his existing contract.

It’s not a hidden desire that he wants to return to Europe, Spain precisely, but nothing has been agreed hitherto.
